This year I got the GREATEST. CHRISTMAS. GIFT. EVER. Nothing made me happier than to open up my brand new, shiny, red, KitchenAid Mixer! Many people I tell about my wonderful gift are less than thrilled about it. But, I don't care. Nothing could make me happier (besides going to Paris)
I love all things baking, cake, and cooking, so this was the greatest gift I could get. (Thanks B.) What does one do that has a new stand mixer? Well, bake a cake of course!
I really wanted to try fondant, so my mom and I sat down and did it. Armed with no real fondant knowledge other than what we see on Ace of Cakes and Youtube. And I have to say. I think it turned out pretty good.
We called her "Winter Wonderland"
And yes, my co-workers loved it and ate it in approx. 1 afternoon.

Your cake looks amazing! I can't believe that was your first try with fondant. I loooove my KitchenAid stand mixer and Brent and I bought one for his mom for Christmas. I hope your cake tasted as good as it looked!
